For my first semester designing for Milwaukee Esports, I created a new logo, as, up until this point, there were several floating around that were created by individual team captains. I chose to unify the brand under a simple and readable mark with a hint of Milwaukee, with the "O" in the center resembling the sun and reflection from the People's Flag of Milwaukee.
I devised the general design concept months before I started and was excited to put it to use. I leaned into the "college" part of "collegiate esports" and turned each graphic into a corkboard, with ripped-up paper, sticky notes, and thumbtacks keeping our elements in place. The final graphic for the Intel Inspires qualifier ended up being a bit of a hint towards the spring design direction, with more of a hand-drawn pop at the bottom.
